Job Summary
The Courier is responsible for the safe transportation of staff, documents, and valuables, as well as the secure and timely delivery and collection of mail, packages, and other items both internally and externally. The role also includes responsibility for maintaining the assigned vehicle in good working conditions.
Key duties and Responsibilities
- Delivers and collects mail, documents, salary and pension lodgements, packages, cheques, and other items externally.
- Maintains a register of mail and packages delivered and received.
- Assists in the delivery and collection of files, earning schedules, messages, and other items internally.
- Collects registered mail from the Severance Division and Customer Relations Division, processes it for recording, and delivers it to the post office.
- Secures money bags and deposit slips from various banks for the Chief Cashier.
- Transports the Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer to external meetings, as required.
- Ensures that the assigned vehicle is serviced regularly and fuelled at Central Purchasing Department.
- Ensures that the vehicle is kept clean and in a tidy condition.
- Records and reports all irregularities concerning the vehicle.
- Prepares a monthly work plan in collaboration with the supervisor.
- Performs duties of Internal Courier in the absence of the substantive officer.
- Performs any other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Completion of secondary school level education.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
