Job Summary
The Insurance Officer IV is mainly responsible for performing clerical duties such as the registration of customers, responding to customer queries, processing claims and providing support to tribunals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responding to customer queries.
- Assisting with the registration of new applicants.
- Registering claimants for unemployment benefits and verifying the accuracy of claims prior to logging them in the system.
- Assisting with the processing of claims.
- Assisting with the servicing of tribunal hearings by issuing notifications of the dates of hearings, filing of tribunal transcripts and calculating payments.
- Providing guidance on the completion of severance application and rebate forms.
- Assisting with the preparation of Clearance Certificates.
- Assisting with the processing of payment of arrears.
Requirements
- At least four CXC subjects at general proficiency level, including English Language
Skills and other attributes desired
- A basic knowledge of the National Insurance and Social Security Act, the Severance Payments Act and other legislation, rules and policies under which the organization functions.
- Sound knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
